View Full Version : Unassigning LN NPCs?

Specifically, bouncers.

I'm using another player's custom world and I didn't feel like going through all of the clubs and such to remove all of the bouncer ropes, figuring that I'd just remove them through the "buy on this lot" cheat as I visited them with my Sims.

So obviously the game assigned bouncers. I don't mind that, but what I do mind is this:

By now, I've removed all of the bouncer ropes. I've checked and double-checked all of the clubs, and there aren't any, but all of the former bouncers still "go to work" at night and I can't interact with them at all via phone because they're "at work and don't know when they'll be finished," but since there aren't any actual bouncer ropes for them to work at, I also can't just go seek them out. Tad annoying since my Sim is dating one of them (well, two of them, but we won't get into that..).

So my question is, is there any way to unassign Sims as bouncers? I have Twallan's Register mod, and there's an option in it to add or remove paparazzi Sims, but no options for any of the other roles.

I remember that when you click the rope, there is an option of removing the one who works at it, but thank you for deleting all of them, if it's me, I just use total annihilation and kill all of them and of course I don't want to get into who is dating whom. :p
...or do you want to click the professional bar and assign them as bartender instead (hope that you remember their names) or download a Call Any Time mod, I'm not sure whether the mod can cancel the busy part or not, but there is still a resetsim command to do so.
To remove the hassle of tracking down any one that my sim want to woohoo or go on a date with, now I can cast a spell to summon them to her bed, let her do whatever she wants with them and kick them out before dawn.

I ended up solving my problem by moving the ones I care to associate with into homes in the world.. but I'd still like to know if there's any way to unassign roles like the paparazzi option in Twallan's mod.

I believe you can use master controller for that. In Intermediate>career>choose job. Assign them to any job you want, including making them self-employed or just 'retired'.
I did this once with a bartender I moved into the neighborhood and it worked for her.
