Okay, so I'm trying to turn the white basegame bra into a tank top just for practice, but there seems to be something wrong with my alpha (even though I just edited it so the bottom of the bra was longer, I haven't even gotten to the textures yet). The only thing I've replaced is the base texture line, visible on the screenshots.

Usually I would try to work it out by myself, but I don't know what I've done wrong here. I didn't move the alpha at all and I exported the file with all alphas intact. Yet it shows up like this in the CTU. This is my first try attempting to make clothing in Sims 3... I did it a lot in Sims 2 but this is really complicated... and I can't find a all together 100% guide so I'm trying to piece knowledge together from the CTU manual and little guides around the internets.

You had to of moved the alpha and texture over, show a screen shot of the texture file you changed.

Oh, I see. Somehow when I saved the .dds it cut the image in half. I'm going to try it with a restored texture. I think I know what's going on. I didn't check "generate mipmaps" in the image export. Oh well, at least people can see this thread and know not to do that now. :) Sorry for wasting your time, omegastarr.

In short: don't use the already existing MIPs when saving a dds file... create/generate new ones.
