Ok this is driving me crazy. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and the problem still exists. It doesnt matter what level i have my camra on many of my plants appear to be floating, like their trunks are missing. its ugly and i dont know how to fix it. Im trying to build a starter house so i dont have the money to get a fence or anything to hid the bottom. Is this normal or is my game screwed up?

That has to be a glitch. I would post in the game help section instead. You can try this troubleshooting list: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Game_Problem

Did you place them when the terrain was higher up?

Have you tried grabbing them and "re-placing" them individually? Plants placed not on ground can get sort of stuck in mid air like that if placed with "moveobjects on"

Tee, Peoinee is missing the foot of the plant, or what it's called in english. So there must be something wrong. If it was just floating it would have the foot too I think.

Ok i had to go ahead and update this for anyone with this problem.

After extensive searching i found the answer to my problem. It looks like for us with slower computers our tree detail is set to low auto maticly. So if you do not own a top of the line computer and you notice your floating trees check your Options>Graphics>Tree Detail Slider it has to be on anything but the lowest setting.
