Hi all!
I'm having some trouble with The Sims 3's new patch. Since last week, I've been trying, re-trying, and re-re-trying to install the newest update successfully, but I keep on getting an "invalid file" error message.
If I am not mistaken, this usually happens with a cracked game, which I haven't got. I looked at Sims 3 Patch Log Viewer and it says my invalid file is a code_version text file. I've never touched it...
I think I've tried all I could. I don't really like the idea of using the super-patch because last time I downloaded it it took 10 hours to download and I accidentally deleted the file afterwards :faceslap: .
I've got no idea what to do. :help: :(

Try the superpatcher from EA, it usually works:

Hey, one question. The 1.32 patch already came out... so, if I download that, will it automatically patch it to 1.32 + all that 1.31 had, right?

It seems as though it should. Otherwise it wouldn't need to detect what version you were already at, and they wouldn't need to tell you what to do if you get an error that the installed version of the game could not be determined.

Woo-hoo! I got it to work! I downloaded superpatch version 1.32 (it only took an hour!). Installed and works like a charm. Thanks to all!
