Need help installing custom contents

I've got several mods for TS3, I've tried installing them in the game folder and in my documents, but both didn't work when I start the game with the mods there it comes up with a black screen then closes and a message says the mods aren't compatible with my game either get updated versions or uninstall and I get 2 choices 1. quit and uninstall the mods or 2. continue the game, I chose continue then the game crashes, any help is appreciated

I've even tried using Monkey to install them

Thanks it works now, but that message came up again, also gameplay isn't as bright as it was before it was modified

You have outdated mods.....update your mods and you will stop getting that message.

And if you used the Monkey you need to pull everything out of Program Files and put it where it belongs. Unless you aren't patched.
