So, awhile ago I seemingly succesfully uninstalled my Sims 3 game. But the issue that left was that my "C" hard drive got renamed! No, it is still called "C", but the line before its name appeared. And it was nothing else than "The Sims 3.Create A Sim". Now every time I open the window of the drive, its FULL NAME is "The Sims 3.Create A Sim (C)".
And everyone can see that. And it bothers me.
I think I installed the game wrong in first place, but what should I do now?

I tried cleaning my registry (I am a total noob) but the issue remained.
Nothing works!

I provided a screenshot to show what I mean.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/198/fckv.jpg/

I apologize if I posted this in wrong place, I just can`t find the answer anywhere.
Help me, please!!!

*Thank you for your help!!! The issue is resolved...mysteriously. :) *

Can't you just rename it back to what you want?

Try going to My Computer, where it shows all your drives. Right click on the C: drive and see if "Rename" appears in the drop down menu. I have Windows 7 and that works for me. You seem to be on XP though.

When I say 'nothing works', I mean it. :( That was the first thing I tried to do. Such operations are not allowed on Windows XP, it seems. In any way, it says that name of the drive can`t be changed.

*EDIT* Strangely, the issue resolved itself! I tried renaming it again and it worked!!! I don`t know how many times I tried to do that before and got an "error" message.
Very strange. Thank you, anyway for reminding me!!! :) I am not sure why that happened (and why it worked this time either). Any ideas???

Again, thank you! That was quick! :)

Could you post a better image? The one you linked to is very small, I can't really see the detail.

Can you post a screenshot of 'My Computer' so that we can see all of the drives you have listed there?

Are you on XP Home or professional? Are you on an administrator account?
