Gems and Metals not spawning

For some reason none of the WA gems or metals are showing up, only space rocks and the base game gems and metals. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have removed all my mods and cleared all the caches, still will not show up. I have all the expansions and stuff packs, except showtime. My game is fully patched as well. This is driving me nuts!! Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If this is in a base world as opposed to France, China or Egypt then that is normal. The WA gems will only show up in vacation worlds unless you have a mod to change this.

No, unfortunately it is China, France, and Egypt! Tried playing each one and 100 days in the only thing showing up is space rocks.

Are you fully patched? Have you tested on a fresh set of user files? This is most odd!

Also, just to check you don't have any outdated no mosaic mods? What about in the 'old' Mods folder?

I have velocitygrass nomosaic 1.31 and I do not have an old mod folder, it was deleted. I am beginning to think I should get a new copy of WA.

And what were the results of going through the steps of that faq? Still happening with clean user files?

Unfortunately they still won't show up! It is frustrating because everything else works and runs just fine.

Ok, so you have tried with a new game and no CC? And it still happened? (Even after you gave them time to spawn. And even with a Lucky sim.)

If the CC isn't causing the trouble, and the user files aren't causing the trouble, and a reinstall didn't fix it, and your computer is strong enough to handle the game, I'm stumped.

(I don't suppose your vacationing sim is unlucky? I've noticed that an unlucky sim in the active family does seem to get much fewer spawns, even if that sim isn't the one hunting treasure. And the spawns they do get are usually lower quality. )

It would also be worth taking a collection helper on vacation, just in case there are gems spawning but you're not seeing them.

Make sure you test on a completely vanilla game, no 'nomosaic' mods.

Ok, I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and tried running the game completely mod free and danged if the stupid gems and metal still won't show up!! I even tried using the collection helper and no go. It has got to be some missing coding in my game or something! Think I am just gonna get a new game. This is extremely irritating. Thanks for the help everyone!

While that does explain the insects, it however is not the answer to my gem and metal problem. They weren't spawning on patches 1.29, 1.30, 1.31 and so on. Thanks for the info about the insects, at least that one less problem to deal with. :)
