The game will load and runs fine, until I try to change the color or pattern of something, whether it is clothes, furniture, or walls/floors, the game will then crash! The error keeps saying missing flash.ocx! The problem is I have the latest adobe flash player and it has the flash.ocx. What should I do? I have tried uninstalling the Sims 3 game and the flash player and then reinstalling and it still gets the same error. Not being able to use patterns to change outfits and furniture is a real drag. Anybody got any advice? Thanks :help:

Do you have flash-related issues/errrors when browsing the WWW? What browser do you use primarily?
What Operating System? What version?
Did you reboot the machine after uninstalling Adobe Flash?
Did you uninstall Adobe Flash with all browsers closed?
Did you install Flash for your primary browser or for Internet Explorer 9 as well, if IE9 is not your primary browser.
Is Antivirus definitions current and have run a full system scan lately?
And for the game, what patch version is the base game on?

Yes, unfortunately the same error pops up when i browse the web. I use firefox. My system is Window Vista Home Premium. I did reboot my computer when I uninstalled Flash and again after I installed it. I did not close all browsers when I uninstalled Flash, so I will try that! I made sure to install Flash for firefox, as I don't use anything else. I don't even have Internet Explorer installed on my computer, it caused a bunch of problems so I deleted it. My Avira antivirus is completely up to date and I run a full scan every Monday. My game patch is 1.33.
