Horrid Loading Bar ._.

Hey, yesterday afternoon I was trying to load one of my games on TS3 and I got an error message to reset my system, but I ignored it then tried again and got the same message. I tried for a third time and the loading bar would only go up about 98% then stop. The Game Tips kept loading and nothing more. I tried to remove the cache and still nothing... This is an image of what come up. Any advice on what I can do ._. ? ? ?

And never try to start the game with any of the TS3 folders in Documents open, or with game files open in S3PE etc - that's the main cause of this error. Unfortunately, closing them after you've had the error doesn't necessarily fix it, because they can get "stuck" open - restarting is suggested because it tends to unstick the folder, though it's not guaranteed to do so.

That happens in my game often.. but everytime I try to load the city again and then it works.. do you have McAfee antivirus installed? It could be it.. try turning the realtime scan feature for a few minutes and opening the game

I tried what cameranutz2 said and nothing, then I tried what gege_sml said and nothing at all either. Not only I've had the same problem, but so have two of my friends at school. And it all started last weekend! Grr, I don't know if it was the update, but its aggravating. I can only start a new game and thats about it but I've gone so far in my current game I don't want to lose all that data :'(

Jeurs, I've receive that same error alot. I found that if I close Windows Explorer before I start TS3 and load my saved game, that I receive that error less often. This is pretty much what Whiterider has suggested.

With that said, I also noticed that one of my saved games (pre-patch 1.33) hung up with the load bar at 98% just as you described. I think it's patch 1.33 related. Thankfully, my other saves opened, but for some reason that one won't. Ah! The joys of post-patching!! :)

Do you use Awesomemod? A loading bar that never finishes is patch fail. Granted it does look like you have moar serious problems going on there.

When that happens to me, I always have to reboot the computer. It happens more often if I use the TS3W.exe to start the game, instead of the launcher, also.

Bah. I still use the TS3EP05.exe to start the game. For some odd reason, TSW.exe refuses to work for me.
Edit: I should probably mention I only have Ambitions, Late Night, and Pets.
