Ever since installing the update my game won't work

Whenever I try to load it up it doesn't seem to be loading any more, and if it does get as far as the game, it crashes after a few seconds of playing. I have already removed my mods and it still doesn't work so I know it's the update that's screwed it up can anyone help?

Which update?
Have you removed your entire user data folder, as well as just your mods, as per the Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem FAQ? If so, what happened?

I mean the most recent update, and no i haven't tried that


I just deleted my cache files and it gets to the loading screen with the game tips, and this time the game tips changed once and then just stopped again and no more loading happened, either my computer is really really slow or it's crashing again.

Followed the FAQ to the end - with no cc and test on new game?

That would indicate the issue is in the Program Files, and the patch had screwed something up. Try just uninstalling, reinstalling and patching just the base game.

And make sure you followed these instructions to patch to 1.33.
