Performing Sing-O-Grams

Not sure if it's just my game since I don't remember this occurring in Starlight Shores but I just want to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I am playing in a custom world: Storybrook County to be exact. It's a great town and seems to run just fine. However, my sim, who just started the singing career will get a notice that she needs to perform a sing-o-gram. She goes to the place (either by me clicking the upper right notification or by zooming out to map view and using that icon). She arrives and gets to the door of the residential building and, BAM, is teleported back home. This is a major annoyance A) because she can't perform her tasks and B) she has a young child who gets a babysitter and paying $75 to drive across town and teleport back is silly. It is ALWAYS residentials that this happens in. I have no issues sending her to the fire station or bars or gyms or wherever else.

Is this normal? If so, Imma just stalk those silly sims until they walk outside of their house. If not, I might need to figure out what is causing it.

Is she actually 'teleported' or does she just make her way back home?? I have found a few times that the sing-o-grams expire, not sure if it's taken too long to get there or something else, but the job goes away and usually the sim will go home. But none of my singer sims have ever teleported home after a missed job.

No, she literally teleports. I don't know that it makes the noise/visual effects but one minute she is at the job location, job still active, and then the next she is standing outside her house and the babysitter is saying she guesses it is time to go home. She doesn't miss it. When she appears back home, the job icon is still active and can still be clicked. And then the whole process repeats itself: she leaves, hires babysitter, goes to lot, teleports home, babysitter collects $75. Maybe it's an evil ploy by the sitting company to make bank. Strange and strange.

Try having her change into her career outfit before going to do the sing-a-gram. A few folks have reported, and I saw some isolated instances myself, where if the sim shows up in everyday wear, as soon as they twirl into the career outfit, they seem to reset to home. It reminds me of the cat down the drain issue, without a bathtub.

Is it the same lot? Could something about the lot she's trying to visit be causing a reset?

Why don't you just take the baby with you?

It's the same problem as Sims that can't go to regular jobs. They have to be in their "work" clothes.

Take them back to CAS and give them a 2nd career outfit. Then make sure they are in the work clothes before trying any type of performance.

Actually, I believe I discovered the issue. She had been performing for tips and then walked over to perform for someone so she was in the work clothes. However, I was at 1.31. Updated to 1.33 and, voila, she was able to do her job. Silly me!
