Sims 3 on Sale : UPDATE: Sale continues

I'm going to do my part to keep this up to date on Amazon Sales. If you guys see any more, post them here! Please put the date location and price of your sale. Amazon always has tiny cut prices, so I try to only mention the big savings. Also, note if the sale has restrictions (like UK only) I assume my amazon sites are for the US version of TS3 only.

It's been a week now and the sale continues. I wouldn't count on it to last past the holiday, but you never know!

Note about Amazon digital downloads: You can use them with discs and you can burn them to CD or DVD. They are NOT COMPATIBLE with Steam.


Also edited to add : If you miss this big sale, there seems to be one every 2 - 3 months on Amazon, where almost everything is cheap cheap cheap. So don't fret.

I wonder if EA would generate more net revenue if they priced expansions and stuff packs like this.

I say yes, because except for WA (which doesn't have a digital download for MAC and the regular CD never goes on sale) I only buy digital downloads from Amazon when they go on sale. I have all the EPs and three out of 5 SPs and never paid more than 19.99 (except for WA. ) I even have SHT because it was on sale for 19.99 the first day or two it was out. I think it may have been a mistake because the sale ended only a few hours after I bought it. Before I discovered these sales, I only had AMB because I got it as a present and told people that I would NEVER get more because they were overpriced. I also never bought a single SP for TS2 because I thought they were overpriced. But for under 7 bucks - almost totally reasonable. Unfortunately, Fast Lane never goes on sale and Master Suite is likely too new to go on sale *but maybe it will after the new SPs come out*

Okay, stupid question here... How do you burn the Origin digital download to disc?

Peri - I don't know. I was just told that you can do that with Origin downloads. With Amazon downloads, I can burn the packet that I used to install the game. I believe though that the CD is just for quick future installs if you have to wipe your machine. When I play my game, I don't use the CD.

Thanks, I was just wondering, because I dread having to re-install, I always have to redownload everything. Guess I'll make future purchases through Amazon.

Master Suite Stuff is on sale for the first time that I've ever seen since I've been tracking it since Christmas. Perhaps it's because the new SPs are soon to come out. (I have no idea, but I get high end loft and master suite mixed up all the time)

Now I own all but Fast Lane. Which was never made for a MAC download so it will never go cheap. Whiiine.

I've organized the sale list so it's easier to browse. Just remember that you need to specify MAC or PC. Also, if the EP or SP isn't mentioned, you can still get it, but it's not a good enough sale to mention (IMO). Also note: If you have a mac, forget about getting AMB, WA or Fast Lane stuff in digital download. For whatever reason, EA never released them to Amazon. Unfortunately, I've never seen WA or AMB for sale under 23 + shipping or Fast Lane under 14 +shipping.
