I am the only person in my house who plays the sims. They know I can really get into it and they just smile and accept it...

Anyway I just spent days building a new base camp for France. I spent over 20 hours building it and setting some stuff up for it.

I am really happy with it, and excited to play it,but I am pretty sure my boyfriend thinks I have lost my mind.

So I was thinking of starting a thread of things we are proud to have made in the sims.

I admit my base camp is not as exciting as some of the things I see on here, but I am still kinda new building my own community lots.

About my base camp:
I wanted to make it like a nice hotel. The first floor has a cafe with a professional bar, and a full gym with pool. The second floor has 10 rooms, each with a full bathroom, TV and nice bed. On this floor is room where travelers can relax, read, play some chess or use the computer, It has some nectar racks that a full with tasteable nectar.

The third floor I made only 5 rooms. These are the nicer ones. They have the same basic stuff, but the better quality. Like bigger tubs, and nicer TVs. One of the rooms is more like a suit and has 2 bedrooms and a juicebar. I also included a microwave in this room, and some other little things I know I would like to see in a nicer room. I also set up treasure spawners for nectar in the rooms on this floor.

I know the NPCs cannot tell these are meant to be the nicer rooms but I thought it was cool!

I was also excited that I managed to find a way to put stoves in the kitchen.

After building this I had a handy sim go through and upgrade everything that could be. I have not really play tested this lot yet and I am hoping that the upgrades stuck when I saved the lot. (like I said still new to making community lots)

Well I am off to play test this!

What have you made that you are excited about?

Haha! When my second sim got accepted on this site without getting a 'changed required', I FREAKED. My mom was like, "oh, that's great! I'm glad you're getting into this hobby." But I wouldn't shut up about it for the next 3 hours, and then I could see she thought I was losing it...

And also my friends, when they see that my laptop background is a picture of a really pretty sims 3 laundry room, they were like, 'sims AGAIN? sigh, um, okay...'

I made a really big mansion yesterday and it came out good but a bit too big so I'll have to re-make it. Your base camp sounds very nice, and base camps should be nice in my opinion, because having a base camp is kind of useless if a tent or sleeping bad is better than sleeping in camp.

Anything one creates should be applauded really. My boyfriend doesn't care about sims at all but knows it's important to me so he looks for a moment and says "that's nice" at least.

Anytime I get something accepted here, I'm thrilled! My first acceptance was the best, though--I'd already gotten about 5 or 6 lots rejected (not an exaggeration!) and when one got accepted I was SO happy. I still get excited though, especially if it has no changes required. :D (Of course it helps a ton now that I actually use the Creator Feedback Forum--it is really *so* helpful for me.) I think I might be most proud of the Sim that got accepted, because it was a new thing for me and she was a pain in the a** to make. XD Some of my friends are like "that's so cool!" while others are like "you could have a useful hobby..." My family is pretty supportive and my sister sometimes gives me advice on small things when I'm building. :)

I recently got my first submission here accepted, and it makes me so excited to see the download numbers go up :bunny:

I will give my boyfriend some credit, he does listen and smile. I know he gets that it makes me happy.

I am not yet ready to submit stuff. I know I still have a lot to learn. But thanks to this forum I have learned a lot. My friends who do play sims seem to like some of my recent stuff. I look forward to my first submission!!!!

I once made a amazing castle I worked off and on on it for three months the only person who thought it was cool was my grandpa. no one else even pretended to care.

A few months later I had my computer reset accidentally and lost everything all my save games CC that castle, everything I cried a bit after that my mother nearly slapped me. She just didn't understand why it mattered.

OMG I would have cried!! My mom gave up. She just smiles and nods, but at over 30 she can not say much. My little sister is just as bad... my mom just sighs when I visit. My sister and I sit on the couch playing sims and sharing CC all day :)

I'm appallingly bad at building houses, but I think I'm good at interior design (if I say so my self). I had a friend who used to be immensely good at building and stuff and he always made me feel pretty rubbish about my meagre dwellings, I mean he actually laughed at my feeble attempts at building! Things have changed, and I'm mostly proud of my designs. When I create a room that fits the bill, I take so many photos it's bordering on being pathological. :D

My biggest achievements so far were that I was able to tell in class that I play Sims and noone laughed. Well, it was wise of them, of course, because I was the teacher.

The other was to create a self-sim that was so accurate that I couldn't bring myself to play it. It creeped me out. But I used the screenshot of it for a profile page in one of my work places. Unfortunately, noone has really commented on it. Hmm..., maybe they haven't noticed ;)
