(please move to an appropate fourm if this is in the wrong place)
I am planning to buy the new expation pack (supernatural for the sims 3 and I have world adventures and ambitions installed. However I am concerned about computer memory and would like to uninstall world adventures. I am wandering if this will be any benifit to my computer and what precautions I should take before uninstalling and what I should do after uninstalling. (I am currently removing All world adventure objects from a family and their house before saving a copy of them to the libary.)

thank you in advice

I forgot to mention the basement tool is part of world adventures. do I need to remove all of the basements i've bulit using it?

Basements should be fine. They were included in the WA patch. I can't really tell you anything else about uninstalling WA, other than suggesting that you have a backup made. I would probably back up everything in Documents, just to be safe. I don't know about Sims 3, but in Sims 2 uninstalling an EP wiped absolutely everything including saved games and CC, so you can probably look forward to having everything gone. (Of course you might get a pleasant surprise there.) I do know that any saved game that was made with WA won't work with it gone, but you seem to be trying to cover that. Some of your CC may turn out to be incompatible now as well.

I have no idea how much it will benefit your computer, but It does seem that the fewer EPs it has to deal with the better. Of course you are going to get the new patch, which will also boost memory needs. I'll leave that question to someone who is more of an expert on this.

Hmmm... Maybe I should copy all my custom content to a file. However i think Backing up my sims and saves would probably be as useless as a house made of sugar because I don't have a version of them without world adventures. alternatively when I get the new explanation I could see how well the fae run and then do an uninstallation.

One thing you can try already now to see how it affect the performance of game and what will be missing/stop working from not having WA without having to uninstall it, is Any Game Starter 3 (http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=406814) simply make a copy of your "deafult" profile then under properties of the copy untick WA.
Though as you know save files will not load but you can use the family if you saved it to the bin in a new game/town.

Also every thing you have saved to the bin (may it be sims or lots) will still work, any items on them from WA will simply be removed, only exception is lots that came with/require WA, even though it still will be there (if you saved to the bin, default ones will ofc be gone), you migh experience weird issues with it if placing in game/town.
