Hey people! :howdy: I have a problem, and that is that very frequently during my Sims 2 (University) game, I get an error message (and I couldn't tell you exactly what it says) but at the end it gives me 3 choices. The choices are to 1) Delete 2) Restart (?) 3) Cancel. Anybody have any idea what might be prompting this message? I realllllllly don't wanna have to go back and delete alllllllllllll my downloads. They took me FOREVER to find and download! :smash: Oh, and if ya need to know EXACTLY what the error message says, lemme know, and I'll have it posted sometime tomorrow (Thursday)

If you do want or need to reinstall the game for any reason all you need to do to keep the downloads is to make a new folder on you hard drive and move the contents of you downloads folder to it, then you wont lose any of them and when you reinstall just move them back. Also just to be on the safe side you could copy them to a CD just in case some-thing bad happened to your computer and you lost everything on it just for safe keeping.

Oh thanks A. Nick, but I'm afraid the reason I would have to delete downloads is because one of them somewhere is defective and is causing this error message. I just don't know which one :fallen:

try running clean installer to see if you have bad hacks or objects, worked for me.

Dp you have game debug on. Sounds like one of those dialogs you get from that. Cetain hacks can make them appear if its something the game isn't supposed to do like teen mods and others.

first of all READ what the message says because that already might give you an idea what might be responsible

I've gotten the same message before it basically deals with actions from Sims like it will say some letters numbers Breanna(sim name) has made an error then give you the three options. Mine started doing that way before I put hacks or anything on my game and now it's just crazy.

I couldn't find anything to clean my hacked files so lol I'm stuck with it.

Hi PandoraPrincess,

Yes, that message does usually appear when you have the TestingCheatsEnabled True set. The wording is usually:

[CharacterName] has:

- interacted too many times in a row with [object]
- too many iterations in the dream tracker
- encountered an empty instruction in the ANIM tree

and numerous other errors that are equally benign. The three buttons at the bottom are "Delete" "ReSet" and "Cancel"

In most instances you can click "Reset" and carry on. You likely would not see these messages if TestingCheatsEnabled were false as the game seems to have a recovery switch built in. But, turning off the Cheats also means no access to the Shift-Click pie menus.

So, you either put up with the minor inconvenience, or turn off the Cheat. No need to panic...
