Actally there are a tool that changes BS background to any custom image.
But nice idea at all!

Currently playing Sims 4 full collection. (and fixing my mods folder)

Please read my post again, this is NOT a custom background, this is actual bodyshop 3d background

Download any file, extract the texture from the file and change it to color of your choice

Now if you can only figure out how to increase the lighting, i'd be a happy bunny!
I used the F3 trick, but its still sooo dingy and not at all optimal for making skins.

If you mean change to custom background, you need to create custom background first. Create a BMP file, preferable size 1024x768, set it to any color or pattern you want, save it as userBkg.bmp in ..My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 folder. Next time you press F5 in Bodyshop, it will change background to that custom BMP.

Thank you so much for this. I normally hate doing anything in Bodyshop because that background is so dark I can't see the details. I am getting the green one. It might not change the lighting but at least the sims will stand out against it much better.

And thanks for the info on how to change the background. I remember from before the game itself was released that it was possible to change that but couldn't find that info anywhere. Not searcing right I guess. So anyway, thanks again.

I have a problem with th body shop screen. no color works on my body shop except the default black and white which I don't want because it's too glary. I downloaded the blue, grey and green ones but none of them work. Do you have any solution of this that I can use; I really need a pastel color to be able to see what I am doing. Help

I already replied to your PM, but here is some more info. You can customize Bodyshop background instead of using this download. Create a bmp image file of any color or pattern you like, recommended size 1024x768, call it userBkg.bmp and place it in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 folder. When Bodyshop starts, press F5 - it will switch to your custom background.

I feel kind of dumb, but all I want are those simple bodyshop background replacements. I've seen a ton in the past ranging from libraries to gardens, but now I can't find a single one! Any suggestions?

Great replacements. Especially the grey-blue one works like a charm for creating new clothes. Thank you for sharing.
