Has someone else been reading Outlander?

I'm shocked, most people say "wha?" when I mention it.

Now one thing. idk what the true Fraser colors are, but I'm pretty sure the book says crimson and black. Was/Is Fraser even a clan?

I don't know anything about these Outlander books, but from a historical standpoint, this tartan is the Frisealach dress tartan. The red colour could do to be a bit darker, but nonetheless this is an accurate representation.

In my opinion, the macKenzie clan tartan here looks more like the actual Campbell tartan, as the Campbell tartan is composed of vivid green and blue. The macKenzie clan tartan incorporates more white, and an additional red colouring for both the common/modern as well as the dress.
Doing all the things, and *mostly* not failing.

The colors aren't as clear/vivid in game as they were when they were made. Campbell is a weathered tartan, and is decently accurate. Campbell has a yellow and white cross-stitch-thing, which is visible in the edited file, not so much in game, but what can ya do. Also, Campbell tartan is pretty darn identical to the kilt I have hanging in my boyfriend's closet =p It's was more a matter of finding tartans that would switch into the Sims without losing the sett, so *Shrug*

For Demon, no, women didn't wear kilts, but they wore arisaids up until 1700.

thanks for these! I don't know anything about Outlander, though now I'm interested. If you get bored and do decide to make more, I would love to see a MacGregor clan tartan. :D

These kilts are fantastic Being a scottish descendant myself i'm very interested in the various clan tartans, my clan tartan is the Macmillan tartan and I have made a few recolors of that with various types of the clan tartan such as the hunters tartan and the modern hunters tartan. Great work !!! Thanks a lot

Lifes all for living it and i'm all for giving it a try.

I love this. I will soon get my own kilt, and many of my sims are alreay kilted, though with the inferiour maxis kilt. More accurate kilts would be nice, so I will d/l these and make even more kilted sims.

An error has occurred. Unimplemented trap.

The link to the mesh is to Insimenator.net--is there anywhere else I can find it? Thanks!

These are so beautiful! I promised my father a few days ago that I'd make him a real life kilt like the Utili-kilt from ThinkGeek.com. When I saw these, I couldn't help but smile. We are from the Wallace clan and I'd also been contemplating making a kilt for my Sims! If you make one, I'm going to have a Scottish wedding in the game! They are truly beautiful! Good job!

That's an incorrect mesh, xginkr2 - particularly because it's not a mesh, it's a recolor. But thanks for alerting me to the fact that my mesh link is no longer, I've fixed it. The mesh is only for the kid's kilt, the adult recolors are just recolors.
