This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Finally! After hours of painstaking work and annoying problems along the way I have finally created these elegantly cuved and hancrafted mirrored staircases with railings.

Recolorable and multiple combinations for the stairs and rails.

Note For The For More Savey Users
If you choose to recolor the stairs for your liking-the rails are listed as walls which is what needs to be recolored if youd like to change the railings. I deleted the railing MAT textures for the railings but meshed the new railings from the walls.

Also: Sims do not walk around the curvature of the stairs, but can walk up in a straight line where the slots require. They ARE sim accesable but will walk in mid air for some of the action/animation.

Polygon Counts:

Additional Credits:
Very Special Thanks to Numenor for helping me through the annoying problems that occured during the process.

Also: Thanks to the community for bothering me enough to make stairs with railings!

I've been looking for a staircase like this, but I don't like the colours.
any chance someone would recolour this in maxis-match colours?

Know this is rather late, but I have the same problem. I know that I'm installing the content right, because other custom content works for me, but these wonderful stairs just don't show up! I've tried toggling the custom content on and off and restarting and reinstalling, but nothing doing... Anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for these! They look very elegant and sophisticated. Love to use them in my bigger houses with an entry way.

Amazing stairs but... after many years, I'm still trying this chandelier! It's so frustrating!... Sob.

There is someone WHO HAS DOWNLOADED (and who wants to share it)? Pleeeassee!
Many months ago, someone told me an address to finding but I discovered that the mesh was for sims 3 (RegalSims). I'm so sad. The most beautiful chandelier for Sims 2 is MISSING.
But the stairs are very gorgeous, really.

I built a beautiful house with these stairs, and moved a family in, only to discover that the sims couldn't use the stairs! Please tell me there's something I missed; these stairs are the main focal point in this house and it's the first one I have built that I actually like.
