Updated: 16th Aug 2012 at 10:04 AM by EsmeraldaF - Added recolourable lenses version
UPDATE 10 AUGUST 2012: Added a new version of the glasses with recolourable lenses. Please note that these only produce a subtle, delicate tint, but still look nice. Now your sims can have rose-tinted glasses! See 4th pic below for an example.
Following a request for frameless rectangular glasses, here is a set in both clear and sunglass lenses for men and women.
They are for all ages from Teen to Elder. The sides and nosepiece are recolourable/repatternable. *NOTE: Create-A-Style shows two channels for this item for some reason, but only one channel needs to be selected to recolour the item.
In-game, the clear glasses make a nice accessory to a steampunk look:
(Hair in above pic is Oepu's Short Pulled Back Hair for Men - http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=366004 )
Below, the sunglasses version is being modelled in gold and, ever true to Cycl0n3's usual stylishness(?), a swirly green pattern.
And as per the above update regarding recolourable lenses, here is a shot depicting a nice rose tint:
With the recolourable lenses version, the strongest lens colour is obtained by setting the brightness slider in CaST all the way to the left (brightest) and the colour to its strongest and most saturated. The further to the right you move the brightness slider, the more the colour will fade. These particular lenses only have a delicate tint, so you will probably want to just keep it on the brightest setting.
Made with the fantabulous CTU: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364926
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip one or both .zip files depending on whether you want clear or sunglasses or both, and copy the .package file(s) to your Mods\Packages folder. Each file is enabled for both men and women.
If you don't have a Mods\Packages folder and/or don't know how to install .package files, please see full instructions here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...g_Package_Files
Thank you for looking and I hope you'll find one or both of these styles useful!

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
