2020Redux - still CC Free - but now even better The last picture shows the new version.
Cat gulped, "Man, I gotta make this work!" She was referring, of course, to her newly rekindled passion for 'flipping' houses. The success of her last few properties awoke her sleeping company, SimsVirtualRealty, and there's no stopping her now! Just yesterday she was approached by Malcolm Landgraab IV, who is considering a business venture in Pleasantview. He said something about turning a historic castle into a luxury hotel... "Yikes! I'm not ready for a project that big!" Cat thought. Or, is she? Hmmm, let's focus on the house at hand, shall we?
As an older house, this one has plenty of character already; but, it was lacking a few modern neccesities (like a driveway) and a little pizzazz.
Exterior and outside improvements:
The floor boards and stairs on the front porch were a bit saggy - they needed to be replaced right away. The attic window had been leaking for years, so it and the surrounding wall was completely replaced. The brickwork, though in relatively good shape, was in need of freshening - it was sealed, remortared and painted. The deck out back has been completely resurfaced, and storm shutters were added to each window.
Interior improvements:
The house, designed for a family of four, seemed awfully cramped. Cat added a finished basement - with a lovely jaccuzi - and thought a pool table would complete the area nicely. (She found one on Sims-list - but, when she went to pick it up, she found it was badly fire-damaged. So, she hopes the new owners will be able find an acceptable pool table.) The attic is now finished and ready for whatever you need - a laboratory, excersie room, playroom, storage...
This is not a short sale! It is a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of Pleasantview history. This home is "move in" ready. The interior design has a historic, "lived in" vibe. It is fully furnished with top quality Maxis furnishings; and features a brand new clay tile roof, and refurbished wood deck. The simple landscaping is well established and easy to maintain.

Additional Information
<<<The stairs really NEED to be replaced with open-underneath wooden stairs. I didn't want any CC in this upload, so I used the only open underneath stairs in the catalog - and they really do NOT belong in this house! They look hideous, I know. PLEASE change them!>>>
If you don't have these already, I would strongly suggest getting them, and using them to make the above changes:
- Wooden Stairs *Recolorable* by Numenor @ MTS2
- Maxis Wooden Stairs - Redux by Reyn @ MTS (actually these make Numenor's stairs "open underneath")
- Invisiblesmokealarm by PFfish @ MTS2
- invisible_drivewaynightlife by Sophie-David @ MTS2
Thank you for downloading! Please leave me a comment - tell me what you think ;-)

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. :luff:
