Er, this is the same guy who was arrested for an act of gross indecency in a toilet, isn't it?
Also he was gay and in a relationship for years with actor Alan Bates.

My ex and I were pen-pals with Peter for almost 30 years. He called us long-distance from England on our wedding day. Sadly, after his accident (struck in the crosswalk outside his Kensington home), he moved and we lost contact. I don't even know if he's still alive. I miss his letters...the stories he told...he could be himself with us.
