Compatible with Game Version 1.63.134
UPDATE 2019-11-22: Updated for Game Version 1.58.63 (2019-11-12)

Baby interactions are all bond to bassinet, I cannot leave a baby on the floor, I cannot walk around while carrying a baby.
I'm not happy to waste that much time on a bassinet, neither I'd rather not to age up the baby manually.
So I made this mod to slow/shut down the motive decay for babies, and of course, release their parents.

Maxis/EA Defaults
Motives for baby are decreased by a rate of:
Hungry:0.138889/Social:0.277778/Bladder:0.333333/Energy:0.416667/Distraction:3.333333
Interaction gains 40 or 50 social motive for baby. (baby's hygiene only depends on its bladder)

Mod Effects
Motives for baby are decreased by a rate of 0.05 or 0. (2 flavors)
Interaction gains 200 social motive for baby.

Flavors
SlowerDecayBaby: Baby's Motive decay rate - 0.05 (take care of the baby every other day)
NoDecayBaby: Baby's Motive decay rate - 0 (no need to take care of the baby)
(*CHOOSE ONLY ONE.)

Compatibility
Based on Game Version 1.58.63, INCOMPATIBLE with previous patches.

Conflicts
This mod edits these files, will conflict with any other mod does the same.

Install
This is a non-script mod. Unzip and place the package file in the Mods folder.

Happy Family Leave.

When living in an apartment from what I noticed, after the baby is first born they have the usual needs, after satisfying them once, they never seem to need anything again. I have the no needs decay version. Before when a baby was first born they didn't need anything. It's not a big deal, I just thought I'd post what happens in my game.

RIP Liono my sweet kitty. You will be forever missed.

Actually, I have found that they are decaying far more rapidly in my game, so thank you so much for this mod! It probably isn't helping my attitude toward sim babies that my sim somehow had triplets. Trice the smell, trice the noise.

Guess either you hired a nanny or had MC Command Center installed?
Once a nanny arrived, the gameplay will reduce the baby's needs directly, in order to give her some work to do.
While the MCCC has a similar feature to this mod, also affects baby's needs. I remember the setting is "Pregnancy_BabyMotiveDecay", you could check it.

After testing extensively I found an Issue
I want to LOVE this mod, but it breaks my sims, They won't do ANYTHING but stand in one spot, won't do simple things like go to work/school or shower on there own, or sometimes not do anything at all..

This issue didn't occur until this mod, so yeah sorry to say this but I don't advise downloading it as is...

Du you have MC Control Center? There is an option where you can set the motive decay for babies. Maybe a mod collision?

Just wanted to mention that the NoDecayBaby no longer allows sims to take a pregnancy test.

Well I don't think that is possible since there's no code related with pregnancy or pregnancy test in these XML files.
Thanks for the feedback anyway.

I know this is a really late reply, but that happened to me before, not with this mod, but a mod I downloaded and couldn't figure out which one it was. Anyways, you can actually just fix the game using origin. I didn't have to delete any other mods when I did that. It'll be on the origin screen right before you click play for your game. Go to the settings button next to the star, then click on repair. It'll disable any mods and CC you downloaded but you just have to allow it again in the game settings. Hope this helps if you still play sims after all these years.
