REALLY AWESOME

Well, crap. I don't know if it was the latest patch or the introduction of the Vampires GP, but this mod is now broken. It makes it so that Sims who are trying to read will constantly decide to watch TV or do literally anything else other than read their book. Rather unfortunate, since scumbumbo hasn't been seen anywhere for a long time. Could anyone make a new version of this mod?

Not sure why some people are reporting that this mod is broken. My game is up to date, all packs installed.... and it works fine. It must be conflicting with other mods installed in peoples game I suppose... But yeah. It's still working great for me.

Yup, still working perfectly. Even the broadcast channel added with seasons 'works'

Thanks, it's good to know that the new channel is also fixed by this. I had checked that it was still working but I guess I never got around to reporting that!

This mod probably will be broken by the november's patch, hope that it will be fixed

We've been working with EA to get the scripts decompiled once the patch comes out and for the most part things are looking good in that regard. This is one mod that will require being able to get the original EA script decompiled in order to ensure that it's correct, so I can't guarantee anything until we see the results from the actual update on Tuesday the 13th.

Most script mods will just need to be recompiled, but this is not one of them unfortunately. No problems are anticipated though, the new decompilers are working pretty much as well as the old ones, so it's just a matter of time - there's gonna be a lot of mods to fix

OMG Thank you so much for the update! I rarely play on first speed and that effect is ridiculous

I have to agree, but I guess the reason it does that is to allow the simulation to keep in synch with the reactions Sims are supposed to have to the movies from one of the expansions. If the video is not sped up when the game is sped up then Sims will not act frightened or happy or laugh in the proper spots.

Why they had to make it look like a bad fast forward from a 1980's VCR is beyond me though. I'd probably not mind it so much if it actually sped up the video instead of going all wacky. Personally I could care less if the Sims don't react in the right places when I'm playing the game at high speed.
