Any stations you make will be shuffled in the same way as the existing stations.

If that doesn't work, then as a test, I'd encourage you to make copies of the files, give those copies English names, and use them temporarily to see if it fixes the problem. I doubt that error message would be caused by the file names themselves, but I don't know for certain.
I tried it all but it doesn't seem to work no matter what I do

Is there a limit to the bit rate a mp3 file should have?
Does the software convert all songs down to one uniform bit rate?

Broadcaster does not do any intermediate bitrate conversion, it just runs the existing MP3 through EALayer3.

I don't know what the practical limit on maximum bitrate is (I think I've used 295kbps in the past), but if you run into issues I'd recommend sticking to around 195kbps.

Hello! First of all, I love this mod forever and always so THANK YOU! Secondly I have a question, is it possible to add music to an existing Broadcaster made radio station? Or would I have to make the radio station all over again? Cheers

You should be able to do this, although I would recommend just remaking the entire station in a single package. Each package Broadcaster makes will have a separate script assembly that will run additional code in-game, so a large number of packages might start to impact performance. One or two additions probably won't hurt anything, though.

I keep getting this error "A file and/or memory access error occurred. Make sure no other programs are currently accessing the MP3 files or any other Broadcaster resources."

Usually this happens when the tool doesn't have permission to access the music files you've added or to write the output package to the specified directory. I'd try running as administrator, saving to a different folder, and/or making sure the input files aren't being used by another program.

Hello!
First of all, a huuuuuge thank you for this amazing tool that I've already put to very good use plenty of times

The only thing I find a bit disappointing is that only the English alphabet is supported when naming the songs you're adding to the game. Would it maybe be possible to update the tool and make it support special characters? I'm specifically talking about the special characters for German (Ä ä; Ö ö; Ü ü, ß), French (À à,  â, Æ æ, Ç ç, É é, È è, Ê ê, Ë ë, Î î, Ï ï, Ô ô, Œ œ, Ù ù, Û û, Ü ü, Ÿ ÿ) and Spanish (Ñ ñ), because I was adding (or am planning to add) songs with names in these languages, and it is nigh impossible to come up with names that don't include any of these special characters.
It would be so awesome to see an update to allow for this expanded alphabet

Again, thank you so much for you work and making my music adding mods possible in the first place!

Has anyone gotten this working under WINE? I've been desperately trying to import some absolutely landfill-tier memes into this game but it just refuses to work for some reason. It gives me the usual "A file and/or memory access error occurred. Make sure no other programs are currently accessing the MP3 files or any other Broadcaster resources" error. The directory it's accessing and writing to isn't write-protected, it's running as admin, and I don't have the files open anywhere else. I'm trying to import these in at 320kbps, by the way - I'll try a different bitrate and see if it changes.

[EDIT] Tried again at 195 - no changes. What's weird is it seems to actually create the EALayer3 files for a second, but then immediately deletes them and throws out the usual spiel.

[EDIT 2] Oi, I got it working! Running it under Bottles' Soda runner worked like a charm. Huge thanks to you, gamefreak - this is revolutionary!

I'm having the problem that custom songs have a chance to crash the game. The mod does what it says, importing mp3 into the game is super easy and it works ingame. However after some rounds of playing tracks at the end of one track, when changing to the next one there is a slight hiccup sometimes. Sometimes it just keeps going afterwards, but sometimes it crashes the game right there. Is there anything that can be adjusted to reduce that? What kind of hz or kbps should the track be saved as that would be more compatible for the sims3? I think it was at 160kbps so far. Would it help to save it as mono channel mode?
