6 Sunshine Estate

Hello simmers!

It has been a LONG time since I last uploaded! 5 Sunshine Estate came to be back in 2013 when I was but an innocent university student with lots of free time. Then in 2014, the sims 4 made it's first appearance and I played that for a while before it disappointed me one too many times and I returned to my beloved sims 2 and 3.

These days I am a secondary school maths teacher but I still find some time for the sims of course! I started playing sims 3 again and built a house for my family in the style of my old Sunshine Estate series and I decided to basegameify it and upload it here because why not?

So welcome to 6 Sunshine Estate! This house is quite a bit bigger than previous installments and is not a starter home but I still enjoy it regardless and hopefully you can too. I do plan to make some more starter homes in this series so stay tuned.

This is a basegame only build but there is one sneaky store item which is the blinds. They are the Haute Hip Curtain Collection Vol 1. All the in game curtains and blinds are terrible so I left it in. If you don't have it, they will just update to something you do have and you can either delete them or change them. Feel free to update the base game furniture to something prettier, I just didn't want to use all my packs and then make this inaccessible for those with just basegame or only a few packs.

NOTE: as the front door is behind an arch, the conservatory door will count as the front door so that's where your newspapers will end up and the lot preview image will be backwards.

Install Instructions

Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
