(solved) Trying to use icarus_allsorts' transmogrifier for laundry machine
Hi!I really hope it's the right place to post this. I didn't try to contact icarus_allsorts him/herself, because there has been no activity on their account since 2017.
I've been trying to give a laundry maching script to this object (which functions as a sink), but my sim resets when she uses it.
Here's my ErrorTrap log:

I know I have a lot of mods, but I think it has more to do with this line of the log: "Host object does not have a SacsComponent."
I tried to give a deco object the laundry machine script (to see if I could make the sink into decor then use it), but the issue is the same.
Anyone know how to do it?
I know AroundTheSims3's found a way to create a new machine entirely (for the tiny house), but I checked her site and there doesn't seem to be a way to ask her for help
So yeah, thanks for reading
Have a great day

I'm by no means an expert, and I can't read error logs, but I have read that when the "transmogrified" object doesn't work, it's usually because it doesn't have the right slot that the Sim is looking for in order to use the object that it's supposed to be. Sinks and washing machines, I imagine, have very different slots. So, you can't turn just any object into any other object and expect it to always function properly. I have used this to my advantage to turn a decorative object into a non-functioning bed and a non-functioning fridge (so that Story Progression will move Sims into a lot, because it looks for scripts, without having to put down those actual objects), but I don't know if there's any way to overcome the slot issue to make the object function properly.
I'm mostly found on (and mostly upload to) Tumblr these days because, alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.

I think that iCad has it right. As a much more extreme example, we couldn't really transmogrify a fridge (functional or otherwise) into a functioning bed and expect sims to lie down horizontally in one and snooze or woohoo. The design differences between a sink and a washing machine may be more subtle, but the idea is the same.
This isn't going to help the current issue, but it should be noted that many of your NRaas mods are outdated and you are therefore missing some important updates and feature enhancements..

Yeah, that sounds about right. And the log does say "Host object does not have a SacsComponent.", which make sense with the slots!
I have managed, however, to turn a counter into a fridge (I was trying weird stuff out, just for fun!)
Thanks for taking the time

You're both right, it does make a lot of sense!
And thanks a lot for telling me about the outdated mods! I try to be really careful with that, but my computer died and I use the only failsafe I still had (careless, I know ), and it obviously was very old XD I'm going to fix that, thanks!
And thank you for taking the time, too

If you are willing to go to a bit more trouble, you could do a sneaky "conversion" by cloning a washer with S3OC or tsrw, and swapping the meshes with the ones from the sink. You'll need milkshape to assign the bones of the washer to the new mesh if you are using TSRW, or you can use blender and cmomoney's blender tools to do that

Yeah, I think I'll try to do that, because I really love the idea of a medieval laundry machine, and I think mammut's bucket on a stump is perfect for that!
I've never created an object before, so it's going to be a challenge, but I've already found a lot of noob-friendly tutorials on here, so all I need to do is jump in

Ok, actually I can't do this XD
I got as far as to clone the washer and then export the s3asc files from the bucket-on-a-stump, but then I'm lost XD
For now I'm cheating with ATS3's machine 'camouflaged' into mammut's sink on my home lot.
I'll try again one day, but I've never used the tools, except for s3pe, and I can't figure out the bone stuff!
Thanks though
