This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Blue screen with hourglass all the time
When I'm playing my game, and I make a sudden camera movement (especially in 3x speed mode), my game will show a blue screen with a spinning hourglass - like I've minimised it. However, I haven't minimised, and the game won't actually go to the desktop unless I hit the Windows key. I've seen a couple of people talk about this, but everyone has said that it has to do with a Nvidia graphics card - I have an Intel graphics card.

I actually got the game to work properly yesterday (somehow), but the problem started again today.

I'm really sorry if I didn't word this properly or I put it in the wrong place!!

Okay first you don't have a dedicated graphics card, Intell is a chip on the motherboard but 600 is decent at least. Your RAM is also quite low and your Processor is really low. You are on something low end and need to treat is occrdingly. That blue screen is its way of screaming that it's stressed at what you are asking of it. Win 10 itself will be eating up about 4 RAM just to run leaving your game little 'juice'. Sims 2 needs at least 2GHz, preferably a little more. Honestly, you probably shouldn't even be playing it on this laptop. if you must make sure to turn shadows off, turn down settings, don't use CC and keep playtimes short and use a cooling pad. If the chip overheats it can literally melt taking your motherboard with it.

I'd start looking into fiding the money to buy at least a better laptop with a dedicated graphics card and more RAM in it ti start with.My almost 8 year old laptop has a dedicated graphics card and it's RAM is higher though my OS is Windows 7.I've been playing TS2 UC on high graphics settings without issues other than ones I needed hacks to solve becuase they were annoying and broke the gameplay.Your issues are with a computer that's just too weak and has too little memory to run the game well.I'd keep my eyes out for higher end gaming laptops on clearence sales or on big discount sales for half price which is how I was able to afford my laptop with saved up hairstylist funds from skipping the hairstylist.
