Default Sims 5 Trailer: Real or am I fooled once again?

One is fake, because the first is realistic, and the second is cartoonish.
Also, is it true it will be online. I don't like "online".
Also, the logos are different.

I think this means... no "Into The Future" for Sims 4.

All by something calling itself Electronic Games, not Electronic Arts/Maxis and if it looks anything like the last the BLM folks would be up in arms about being under represented! I don't like the realistic Sims and if it was like that I wouldn't buy it for a start!

You'll know if and when the real deal is on the horizon. Because EA & Maxis won't shut up about it. You won't be finding random, fake stuff on YouTube and wondering. Every time you boot up Origin, it'll be in your face that it's coming soon and pre-orders available. That'll be your first and main indicator. And more than likely towards the end of TS4, Maxis will slip in some form of link or ad, or even an object like a wall painting with the official 5 logo, probably all of them.

Presuming, of course, TS4 is ever going to end. I mean it has to eventually, right? Though if the latest Star Wars Game Pack logo is any indication, TS4 has only been through its first 6 year trilogy, and has two more trilogies-worth to go. Releasing TS5 to coincide with the 25 year Anniversary. 5 for 25, in a grand spectacle. So dragging out TS4 to cover until then. That's why there should have been a related interim game to go with TS4, like Sims Medieval. Given the grand 25th Anniversary is still some way off, there still might be an interim game to help cover the time until then, because I don't see TS4 covering it alone until then. It's already threadbare and showing its age. To do so would be to redefine the cruellest elements behind the terminology of "flogging a dead horse."

Those yearly, big game industry events. EA has their own one, and that is the most likely place where anything for an actual TS5 will first be revealed. It'll be on YouTube five minutes after, probably. But not before.

Either way, between Maxis, TS4 and Origin, you'll be in no doubt about the eventual arrival of TS5. YouTube will not be the first to announce it, seemingly out of the blue without a single hoot or holler of hype from the growing gaggle of all-too-EAger Game Changers.

Don't feel bad about getting fooled. There was a whole thing a year or so back where multiple sims youtubers were taken in and posting reaction videos about one of these fake trailers. If people whose livelihoods depend on the sims got taken in, then is it any wonder you would too?

Well, sure, and if they are holding out a TS5 release to come as close to coinciding with 25th Anniversary as... tolerably possible, (Given we'll have to endure TS4 for much of that extended duration.) then it'll be a two, probably three more Junes yet before any big announcements are forthcoming. I did not suggest anyone go holding their breath for anything sooner.

5 for 25 is a very good business move, the coinciding with the anniversary would shift more units like never before, whether 5 would be worthy of that or not would be almost irrelevant in the initial stages. 5 for 25 has guaranteed success from the get go. The business move of dragging out 4 for as long as tolerably possible until then, might not be such a great business move. Four and a half years till 25th, "as long as tolerably possible" seems to have already hit TS4, so another three-odd years of TS4 till 25th, I seriously doubt it. Perhaps an interim Sims game to take up the slack - TS4 is the only one that hasn't had at least one of those in some form or another, why? A TS5 well before 25th? Sure, anything is possible. But a waste of a perfectly good money-spinning opportunity. Especially if TS5 is on a lacklustre par with TS4 in terms of its playability, then definitely a waste of a good milking opportunity. I've never known EA to waste a good milking opportunity.

So then, who's ready for Sims 2021 Online next year (To be announced at EA Play June 21) to hold us over till 5 for 25? (Jesus, can I even live that long?! Cutting it fine. )

At this point, I doubt we're ever getting a Sims 5
