@simsample : is the smaller one a teen, or are you using that mod that lets you make Sims of different sizes?

Thanks for linking!
They are both adults; I don't use the mod but I do change sims' heights manually in their character file (so it's permanent). Marina is slightly short and Amanda slightly tall! I set them depending on parent's heights for born in-game sims, and by what height I think suits them for other sims. For example, my butler Babbage just seemed tall to me- and Jeeves was crying out to be tiny. And Will Wright in sim form just needed to be short, even though I think he's tall in real life. I get a lot of amusement from the graphical glitches involved with the differing heights; watching tall sims navigate spiral stairs is hilarious!

LOL, graphical glitches are the reason all my sims are the same height.

No problems or oddities since then, though. I mean, aside from the aggressively attentive teenage nanny feeding Ralph bottle after bottle and leaving the house littered with diapers. And then celebrating his excellent care with a bubble bath in a stranger's house while their kiddo sleeps. And, I guess, calling a few days later to ask Ralph if they were still friends, and suggesting that a toddler should make more of an effort to hang out with him. That is admittedly a little weird.

Sounds interesting. Where did you find a mod that lets you have teenage nannies? (Assuming it's a mod.)

I do have a teenage nanny in my game, but he's a playable who lives in with the family. Antonio Monty actually offered to adopt him, but Berjes Wilsonoff decided he'd rather stay a Wilsonoff than become a Monty.

On the other topic, I too have the problem of Sims trying to kiss each other but missing, but in my case it's because I have teens in love with adults.

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

The only mod I know of that does this is LD's Playable Nannies. Unfortunately, even though it's not mentioned in-text, I see on the bottom of the page that it requires AL/M&G.

Can you have both teen and elder nannies with the mod?

I like to use Squinge's Watch Kids Enabled For All (requires Apartment Life). Then something such as SimWardrobe's checkbook to transfer them funds.

Farore Ramirez and her dad Roland Kardell spent the end of the weekend at the sports hobby lot. Farore met one of the teen downtownies and bragged about her successful sneaking out the other day.

Former teenage townie Barbara Young died of old age. Before dying she managed to fulfill her want of becoming friends with her husband's niece Demeter, so that was nice. Demeter went Downtown to see if she could meet a cute townie she met some days ago again, but no luck there. She did become friends with another one, though. Demeter's dad and Barbara's husband and daughter meanwhile spent the day at home playing videogames.

Halley and Satellite Neighbour spent the weekend playing with kids from their school. They both fulfilled a want of making friends with a child townie each, so they'll be aging up along with them next round when they become teens. Halley also made friends with Roland Kardell again. She's been keen on making friends and maintaining relationships, so she'll be a popularity sim. For Satellite I randomized and he'll be a family sim.

Brinstar Smith became the fourth sim this round to be promoted to fastfood shift manager, though he immediately moved on with two more promotions and is now a waiter. His twin Norfair in turn became a surveillance operator. On Norfair's day off, Brinstar invited his best friend Froggy Neighbour shortly before going to work, leaving him in Norfair's hands. Norfair is a social guy and managed to make friends with him, which was what I hoped for, because his three brothers are all besties with Froggy. Brinstar then brought home Selma Picaso from work, and of course everyone decided to hang out on the loo.
I wonder if one of the twins have made a failed wish for peace of mind, because the toilet got clogged twice in this round, and the shower broke. It was good for Norfair though, because mechanic and cleaning skills was just what he needed to be promoted.

Honeybunch Caliente had two successful dates with a downtownie named Christopher who he met last round. Christopher recently went on a date with Honeybunch's twin brother Sugarpie, but I doubt they'd be moving any further anyhow, so it's fine.

Houdini Beaker and Melissa Tinker also had two good dates. Houdini's arcade business moved up to level 1.

Apartment neighbours Jenny Tinker, Stellan Tinker and Hector Nigmos spent the evening at the Strangetown pub, Wayfarer. Hector finished his second novel but this one didn't become the bestseller he dreams of writing either.

Dina Goth was getting the want to buy vacation home after vacation home. She had four! So she purchased the real estate office in Bluewater Village and put them out for sale at cheap. In one afternoon, she had sold three of them, made $100,000, and achieved her lifetime want! She would have sold the fourth but I'm saving it for the Capps.

I wish there was a way to buy a deed from another playable. The Pleasants own a vacation home that they cannot really afford, and I'm pretty sure after the fiasco that was Dustin and Angela's wedding, they are getting divorced. I think the only way would be for them to sell it back to the community and then Dina to buy it and pretend like the transaction was between them. That's probably what I will do.

Yes, Dustin married Angela and achieved his goal of marrying a rich Sim. The joke's on him, though, because the Pleasants are house-rich and cash-poor, and when the newlyweds moved out into their own place, they had to get a mortgage just to afford a basic starter. Dustin had invited his former roommate, Nina Caliente, to the wedding, not knowing that Nina was having a secret affair with Daniel. Not-so-secret anymore since he flirted with Nina in front of the entire wedding party. Mary-Sue and Angela were lining up to slap him silly.

Attached are some pics from the wedding. I don't think it was a very good time for Angela.

Returning back to my hood after a two year break, and the same hood I've played since 2013.. the third generation is just being born so it's a very slow moving game.

And I kind of understand why I stopped playing the last time (besides full time job, kids and other hobbies). Everyone is having a nice time with people who they like. With one or two exceptions... So I am in the position of not caring as much as I probably did two years ago and must create some chaos in the pixle life, so reading some notes, creating some rules and relaxing.

A very cute tradition that I've kept up is that uni students invites their parents over their first or second year to meet their friends, gossip with the other parents and in some cases feel proud of their children joining the same house as themselves.

Trying to returning back to my hood after a long break. Last time I played Bonneville was in November 2021.
I'm trying to figure out what happened there. The hood is between 101 and 102 days old.
According to my notes I have around 100 sims in 30 households.

I'm finally returning to Widespot after no to little play since breaking my tendon in November 2022, and I know exactly what's going on because I keep a story album for them. The Beeches are rolling in money and preparing for Hamilton's retirement and Rocky to move back in and marry Ginger Newson. Wallys, one of the Widespot Four, is now five days from college. He took Joan Schmidt bowling, but was caught by Portia Bellum, whom he had previously dated. It was only a get-to-know-each other date, and he apologized for it when she followed him all the way out to Widespot (Portia lives in Bigg City, in the Enclave), so he's sure it's fine. Hamilton, who will need hobbies after he retires, bought a telescope for that underutilized balcony.

Cliff Notes, Hugh Knowe, and Sara Bellum, sharing a trailer in the Widespot Manufactured Homes Estate, where Hugh's parents also live, were having trouble scheduling Cliff and Hugh's wedding. Cliff and Sara are both doctors with weird hours, Cliff's parents live in Bigg City and have a small child, Hugh's parents live next door and ditto and also Hugh has a rocky relationship with his mother, there were just - logistics. So the three of them went down to Weddings on the Go in Bigg City in the middle of the night and got married in front of a bunch of strangers. Now everybody can be equally mad at them and nobody's feelings will be particularly hurt! (I did something like this for my own marriage. I recommend it.) A pregnant lady led the toasts and one attendee came straight from the hot tub and was scolded into his clothes by Mrs Crumplebottom. Since she was there, Cliff and Hugh decided not to consummate on the premises, but returned to the trailer.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

In Tinsel Town, Oleg Powers, one of the original Founders, finally reached the top of the business career (thanks to a little gentle help from yours truly) and he's now on platinum clouds. He wanted to make a wish on the lamp, so I put a lamp in the investment bank which I had intended to have him travel to obtain-it was only after he'd come home and went to bed (being promoted to the top is very tiring to an elder) that I found the lamp sitting on the lawn where the old lady had dropped it.

No wonder he wanted to make a wish-anyway, he did get granted a wish for money, but now he wants to buy a vacation house..he's only got 2 days to live! No, Oleg, I think you're just going to have to go without that one last want being fulfilled.

On the other hand, his granddaughter is gonna be one very, very rich pixel when he dies-she inherits the house they live in, his Bugatti, all of his money and she's only 21. She's got about $ 60,000 in her bank account, and he's going to give her another $ 200,000 before he dies, and she'll be also the recipient of his life insurance as well.

Some pixels have all the luck...

I returned to Strangetown after a bit of an absence while I was playing Pleasantview-Veronaville, and I discovered that I had eight students in university, with one waiting in the bin, and they had 17,000 in cash on hand. So they rented the old frat house on La Fiesta Tech campus, which I think will make university play more interesting than living in the dorms--more of a chance of risky pregnancies, more distractions. Suze Grunt, of all people, quickly got expelled, but I think that was partly my fault for moving them right before her exam.

Kristen Grunt decided not to move downtown after Buzz's death, mainly because she couldn't find a property there big enough for her, so she razed the old Grunt house and built a beautiful bungalow in its place, with a swimming pool, where she and Suze can live now.

Frances Worthington III was moved to the House of the Fallen Trees because he has been in aspiration failure since his partner Mickey's accidental death by electrocution, and the House of the Fallen Trees is where all my oddballs are sent to live communally ever since my Tricou clan mostly burned themselves up in a big house fire. There are two former Beaker test subjects there (one of them now a zombie), as well as poor Gunnar Roque, who seems to keep getting kicked out of various housing situations, and Blair Mace, who broke up with his fiancee Tina Traveller and fled their house after discovering all the males there were werewolves.
