Default How to force outdoor lighting on an object?
Does anyone know what resource defines whether an object is outside?
For example, an object in a room has the lighting inside the room applied. If you slowly move the object out through a wall (with moveobjects) there is a halfway point where it swaps to being lit by the global outdoor light.

How might I trick the game into acting as if an object is outside? I'm editing a roof decor that can cover an entire room, which places the majority of its footprint in the room- so it gets shaded dark as if it's inside.
I'm not familiar enough with objects to know whether to edit the footprint or the bounding box or what.

I'd appreciate any info on what the game actually 'measures' to decide the majority is outside, or even suggestions of building shells that might function similarly.
