I can't stand popups or popunders... so it'll just be banner ads.

Story books are full of fairy tales, of Kings and Queens, and the bluest skies.

Again, thank you Delphy. It shows a lot of class that you won't do popup/unders, even when in need of revenue.

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right.
SO much to do and so many other things to distract me.

Default If we each just donated $5, imagine....
I'm new to this site but I am absolutely astounded at the volume of traffic that goes through here. I know people get frustrated when they're asked for money if they're really struggling but for goodness sake if we each donated a minimum of $5 when there's a donation drive such as this one, just imagine how helpful that would be. And having said that, if you can't afford anything, well try not to feel guilty or defensive about it. Now, I don't know anything about using paypal, so I am going to go find out. :lovestruc

I'm a supporter, so I would be eligible if Delphy puts in a no-ads version for supporters. But I donate because I love this site, so if showing me ads will get you more money for the site, please keep showing me ads!

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

Delphy, how do I buy ad space? I already donate monthly but, depending on the cost, I could buy an ad to run. I didn't see anythin about it in the FAQ for the donation section (sorry if I missed it).

I've been subscribing for months now, and don't intend to change.

I don't mind the adds.

Please don't PM me with questions. Post them in the appropriate thread.

Delphy, the donations site declares "Paypal down again." Is this true? I'll have to set up a Paypal account in order to donate (I've avoided doing so until now) and I don't really want to do so if it's not going to help MTS2 at all.

I am as broke as can be, but I have some traffic to spare.

Do you guys have cafepress or zazzle stores?

I can feature you, and may have some cafecash I can spare. I have some free ad-space to give away (goes for everyone here that sells sims stuff too) - just PLEASE follow the directions.

BTW - I have an idea, and it's one we could all contribute to.

A CD of the Best of MST2 - maybe more than that. Cafepress is one way to go with this, because it's simple and easy to set up. There may be other options I'm unaware of, but I mention it because I know how to set up an account and get it working.

What would be needed would be an editor's selection of what's best on MST2 - the essentials, say. It's burnt on a disk and sent to Cafepress, if approved (they check for malware, viruses, piracy and kiddyporn, I believe) it goes live.

We would need cover art (raises hand) and liner notes.

And it could sell for whatever.

I think that it might be an idea to offer some exclusive donated content, too.

Wow, what's happening?

Hmm... how much does add space cost? If it's not too expensive, I might try that for my site! Would be funny Have no idea how that works though...

Please visit WickedNoukFamily Forum for my creations.
Can't take requests, I'm completely swamped with unfinished projects! :O

Is there any kind of appeal process with Google? I mean, if you call their customer support center or something, can you get your account reinstated? It seems to me that that's pretty arbitrary, and unfair. Please, however, don't just let it go--if Google is doing this to a lot of people, then the more that complain, the more they'll be responsive. You also might try sending your complaint via/to these websites: http://www.planetfeedback.com/ and http://www.bbb.org/ (for the area that they're in).

Grr...Dang Google...I didn't relise that $1900 was the amount the site costs to run! If I was old enough, I would donate...but I'm still young (sorry guys!). Good luck!

MCR and The Used are awesome =]
There's nothing special on my My Sim page, but it is dcsprouse125.
I usualy lurk around here, download stuff, and if I see something good, I comment it. So if your reading this, you should feel special :)

I don't mind the ads either, and I feel more apt to donate to a free community site like this than to any manditory site. I will donate on my honor as soon as we get any means available. (we are in the process of losing our home and fighting still, but soon we hope it to be over)

Much luck to the site, this is truely the best site I have been to and thats why I come here every day.

Donation on the way... I didn't realize a monthly subscription was available... will have to look into that. MTS2 is too important to lose... and, any and all gifts add up!!

I really do think that a cheesy thermometer donation drive tracker would be fun. Anything that takes up more time and bandwidth right? Really though, sounds entertaining. I get paid on Monday and will figure out what I can spare and donate, haven't done it yet and I'm long overdue with as much great stuff as I've got from here and learned from here. Thanks for the site!

I was wondering if WE could do a little free advertising... What i am proposing is if anyone knows how to code HTML, please make a pic of the MTS2 logo we could post on myspace, xanga, or other similar accounts to get more free ads for this site out. If I knew how to do this myself, It would be posted by now.
