A mod that change the loading screen when you enter an inhabited lot from "The Family ???" to "The Household ???" would be great because residents don't always have family ties with each other, right ?

Why can't there just be a genetic option for the plastic surgery in-game?

Use the DNA fixer in the Cpack editor in my signature. There's also a link to a post about how to use it. Do all the surgery you like, save and exit the game, and run the DNA fixer. It will automatically scan your Characters folder and make any changes that it finds genetic. The most difficult thing about it is the tedious browsing to your neighborhood's Characters folder.

I'm sorry for getting so snippy - it's just that I had been given these suggestions before and I did specify that what I wanted was a console. Perhaps for custom consoles and PCs, they'd need to be pre-loaded with all the games and not have the option to play the more modern ones.Just thought it'd be cool to have your 80's sims play games like Pitfall, Ka-BOOM!, and Yar's Revenge, while the 90's Sims might play some shareware title like Jill of the Jungle or Jazz Jackrabbit, or something from the Super Nintendo or Sega Megadrive/Genesis... or even the N-64.

I might have found something. Not any of the games you mentioned, but proof that you can make new games for the console. https://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=583292

On the phones that Sims used, the piece they hold in their hands is called a hand set...? A "headset" is like operators use, a wire across the top of the head holds the earpiece in place.

Thank you! And well, I wonder how the ZX Spectrum object was done for Sims 2, since with that computer you can only play games or write basic programs. I was thinking you could do somewhat the same with clones of the console where you could play a collection of classic video games (though the animations would look wonky for the Coleco and Atari controllers).

Now for the Atari 2600 console, I wonder if custom animations could be used for the simple joystick controller. Same with other old game systems like Colecovision and the apparently horrible joystick (was raised on the Coleco so I never had a problem with the joysticks).

On a curious note, I would really like to see a mod that replaces the sims 2 dancing animations with the sims 4 "kneading bread" dancing. To me, sims 2 dancing looks like they are having seizures and doing the watusi, flailing their arms and body like they're drowning. At least sims 4 dancing is slowed down where it looks halfway descent. I would love to see how sims 4 dancing would look like in the sims 2.

I accidentally posted this in the "Look At This Awesome Thing I Found" thread yesterday. It does contain links to awesome things, so I've left it there, but I wanted to post it here as well, as it was meant for here! :-)

JellyMeduza made a version of Hexagonal-Bipyramid's Just Keep Swimming mod which is compatible with Simler90's Pool Parties.

I would love a version which also incorporates Gummilutt's Hygiene Gain From Swimming! :-)

Oh thank you! That's should really make this process a lot easier in the future :D

Just to give vampires a bit of dimension, they should fly in bat form when sending them for a walk to a community lot.
A sink (Nightlife replica perhaps) that generates a custom, dishwasher NPC. As the name suggests, washes dishes like waiter.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

I wish I could control the lecture animation. Yesterday, Dina Ross came home from work at about 3 a.m. to find James outside playing. She was upset the both him and the nanny. But, there was nothing she do about it because she can't fuss at them.

Squinge made a mod that allows you to lecture any other sim. This is NOT compatible with Inteenimator. I don't use Inteenimator, but in my game the lecture mod conflicted with the Manipulator. I seem to remember hearing that it also conflicts with the Insiminator?
http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,91764.0.html

Midgethetree made a "Chastise" mod that does something similar and this one does not conflict with the Manipulator. (I don't have Inteenimator or Insiminator to test them with it).

I like the lecture mod. I don't have any conflicting mods so it works well. I had an evil stepmother encourage her stepdaughter to be grouchy. Child went to father and poked her tongue out at him. He lectured her. Evil stepmother smiled.

Can't do much about consoles because the games for them must support two player but games for computers don't. Mame (multiple arcade machine emulator) for sims will allow them to play the arcade games on their computers. Two versions CJH_Mame-SWconfigured.zip has been pre-configured with all of the 'roms' from the Sims Wardrobe files from CaliBrat's link. It will test if the file is available before displaying the menu option so you can have as many or as few of those files as you want.
The second version CJH_Mame.zip has not been configured for any arcade games except the default two, but it is much easier to add more to. Just add the GUIDs to the constants list and add the game name to the action strings.

I couldn't make her lecture them and she really wanted to. that nanny had no business allowing an eight year old outside in the middle of the night!

In the deco there is a stack of books. It would be cool if this could work like a bookcase and was autonomous. Would give places with small footprints a huge boost in space saving.

There are tons of working stacks of books around @CaliBrat I will check later in game what some of them are called, but I was even thinking of getting rid of some as I have so many.

A work around is to buy a bookcase and take out a book, then delete the bookcase. The book can then be used as a bookcase.

True, but then the only autonomous would be read or write in diary. I want autonomy for skill readin too like iCad's Billy Bookcase... though I do wish the other bookcases were also autonomous.

There is also then only 1 person could study at a time unless you had two books, but then you'd need to figure out a place to put them or they'll be placed willy nilly and then tryin to locate them would prob be as bad as tryin to hunt down kids homework... lol.
